Ibby Greer sold lots of copies of her new novel, Moonshine Corner: Keys to Rocky Mount. In fact, she sold one while she was setting up Friday evening.
Lots of folks took a peek through Dwight Hayes' big antique camera.
It was a great opportunity for authors to socialize while setting up their displays. Shea LeMone talks to Ibby Greer while Jim Morrison unpacks his books.
Two children's authors—Lisa Chitwood (Hunt With Your Heart) and Louise Majeski (Amanda the Panda) had something for younger folks.
Artist Carol Yopp (who shared a table with her author-husband Rodger Doss) looks at some of the books, Jean Schaeffer shows her book to Jim Morrison, and Teena Peters and Shea LeMone wait to greet customers.
Others mingled and looked. Bill Mithell's artwork is in thebackground below:
Morris Stephenson was there greeting folks right and left.
Genealogist Beverly Merritt was there with her granddaughter.
A variety of books were represented.
And we had music. . .
Wonderful music by Marian McConnell . . .
. . . and Dean Smith and Vanya Davis.
All in all, it was a fun event.
